Broad Beans with Eggs

Broad beans with eggs also commonly referred to as "Bagela Bl Dhin," is a savory Middle Eastern breakfast which comprises of a layer of broad beans, followed by eggs, and fried onions all over pita bread.
Simply put, it's a breakfast that's rich in nutrients and satisfyingly filling! Who wouldn't resist?

Cooking Method

  • Warm up the broad beans over medium heat in a saucepan.
    1 can Tazah Broad Beans
  • Over a skillet, add olive oil and fry onions until caramelized. Set aside.
    1 Onion, ¼ cup Tazah Extra Virgin Olive Oil 
  • Using the same skillet, add ghee and fry three eggs sunny side up.
    1 tbsp. Tazah Ghee, 3 eggs

To Assemble

  • Break apart bread over a plate, & add the broad beans. Make sure to scoop up broad bean juices. Add a little portion of fried onions following eggs and the remaining fried onions. Season with salt, pepper and crushed mint. Drizzle more olive oil if needed.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy with black tea!
