Follow Mariam Roze | @mariamrozeZaatar Chicken pizza is the perfect homemade savory recipe you can make. It's topped with zaatar, shredded mozzarella, shredded chicken (spiced with zaatar), red onion, cherry tomato, and some more cheese.
Shredded chicken (i used about 1 1/2 cup leftover chicken spiced with zaatar)
For the Dough
In a medium bowl, add yogurt, sugar, yeast, salt, milk and whisk well.
Then add only 1 cup flour and stir until well combined.
Cover and let rest for 30-40 mins until frothy.
Add the rest of the flour and olive oil gradually.
Knead until you have a soft dough.
Add more flour if your dough is too sticky.
Cover the dough and leave it in warm place for 20 mins, until the dough rises and doubles in size.
For the Toppings
Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.
Cut the dough into 4 pieces, and spread out one piece evenly and set aside.
In a small bowl mix together zaatar and olive oil.
Spread the zaatar mixture over the dough.
Drizzle the mozzarella cheese (leave some to add at the end)
Then add the shredded chicken (spiced with zaatar), red onion, tomatoes, and more cheese.
Add a sprinkle of zaatar.
Transfer the pizza to the oven and place on the middle or top rack.
Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is browned and the crust is golden (Broil if necessary).
