
Hummus b'Lahme
Ingredients
For the Hummus
- 1 can Tazah Chickpeas Rinsed & Drained
- 1 clove Garlic
- ½-1 tsl Salt
- 3 tbs Ice Water
- 1-2 Juice of Lemons
- 2-3 tbs Tazah Tahini
For the Meat
- ½ lb beef tenderloin or lamb Diced
- 1 tbs Tazah Olive Oil
- ½ Onion Diced
- All Spice To taste
- Salt To taste
- Pepper To taste
- ¼ cup Pine Nuts
Instructions
For the Hummus
- Add chickpeas, garlic, salt, and ice water in the food processor.
- Run until smooth
- Then add lemon juice and tahini
- Run your food processor (until your family starts to complain about the noise)
- Wait a few minutes for the mixture to settle.
- If it's too thick, add a little bit of water and mix
- Finally, add your mixture into a serving bowl and spread it evenly
For the Topping
- Gently toast the pine nuts, either in a pan with a touch of oil or in a toaster oven with a spray of oil
- Set pine nuts aside
- Sauté onions and meat in olive oil
- Add spices
- Top hummus with meat followed by the pine nuts
- Drizzle olive oil on top
- And just like that you have a mouth watering hummus b'lahme!
