Strawberry Tart

A quick and easy way to create a three-layer strawberry custard tart.

Ingredients

Layer 1: Crust

  • 1 Packet Biscuits
  • 1/4 Cup Walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Tazah Vanilla Custard
  • 1/3 to 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Cups Milk

Layer 2: Custard Creme Filling

Layer 3: Strawberry Glaze

  • 1/4 Cup Tazah Vanilla Custard
  • 1/3 to 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Frozen strawberries (purée them using a food processor)
  • 1/4 Cup Whipping cream (or milk)
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 4-5 Drops Red food coloring

Topping

  • Freshly sliced strawberries
  • Strawberry Syrup

Instructions

Layer 1: Crust

  • Blend ingredients in a food processor
  • Line a baking pan in parchment paper
  • Evenly distribute crust and press down until flat

Layer 2: Custard Creme Filling

  • Add all ingredients in a pot under low heat and stir until mixture thickens
  • Add mixture over layer 1 (crust)
  • Place pan in the fridge for 15 min before adding the third layer

Layer 3: Strawberry Glaze

  • Mix and cook until consistency thickens
  • Add the third layer to the pan
  • Let cool one fridge for 15 min

Topping

  • Decorate with sliced strawberries
  • Drizzle Strawberry Syrup
